Cyprus Showcased as Prime Investment Destination at Athens Event

At an event hosted by Invest Cyprus in Athens, in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus, Deputy Minister to the President, Irini Piki, emphasized Cyprus’ dedication to maintaining a stable and reform-oriented economy. Attendees included ambassadors from countries accredited in Cyprus and based in Athens, underscoring the international interest in Cyprus as an investment hub.

Deputy Minister Piki highlighted Cyprus’ investor-friendly landscape, rooted in economic stability and transparency. According to the Cypriot Presidency’s statement, she pointed out that the nation’s long-term strategy focuses on predictability, providing growth potential within the Eastern Mediterranean.

Looking forward, Piki shared the government’s vision for a digital transformation by 2035, which she believes will improve productivity across sectors and help the economy respond dynamically to investor requirements. She underscored Cyprus’ role as a stable force within the region, bolstered by its diplomatic connections and international collaboration.

“Our strong infrastructure, competitive and transparent tax framework, and skilled workforce position Cyprus as an ideal base for businesses seeking expansion throughout the Eastern Mediterranean,” Piki added.

Invest Cyprus Chairman, Evgenios Evgeniou, also addressed attendees, noting Cyprus’ impressive economic resilience, despite global uncertainties. He highlighted that Cyprus has one of the highest economic growth rates within the EU, driven by the trust that foreign investors continue to place in the country.
