Trade between China and Cyprus reached nearly $1 billion in 2023, as highlighted by China’s Ambassador to Cyprus, Liu Yantao, in a recent social media post on “X.”
Ambassador Liu emphasized Cyprus’s commitment to strengthening economic ties, noting that the country has participated in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) for seven consecutive years. He stated, “The total trade in goods between China and Cyprus was close to 1 billion U.S. dollars in 2023,” underscoring the steady growth of bilateral trade relations.
With China’s expanding openness to global markets and the increasing depth of China-Cyprus economic and trade collaboration, Ambassador Liu also expressed optimism that more high-quality Cypriot products would soon enter the Chinese market.
