Tourism continues to fuel Cyprus’s economy, with revenues for January–July 2025 reaching €1.89 billion, marking a 17.4% increase compared to €1.61 billion in the same period of 2024, according to data released Monday by the Statistical Service of Cyprus.
July alone generated €513 million in tourism income, an 8.2% rise from the €474 million recorded in July 2024, the Statistical Service’s Passengers Survey revealed.
Tourist Spending Patterns
The average amount spent per visitor in July 2025 came in at €870.78, slightly higher than the €859.95 recorded in July 2024—an annual increase of 1.3%.
Breaking down spending by market:

Visitors from the United Kingdom, who represented 32.2% of all arrivals in July, spent on average €100.29 per day.

Tourists from Israel, the second-largest group at 13% of arrivals, had the highest daily average spending at €151.10.

Polish visitors, making up 7.4% of July’s total arrivals, spent €90.23 per day on average.
These figures underline the continued strength of Cyprus’s top tourism markets while highlighting differences in spending patterns across countries.
