The price of construction materials in Cyprus experienced a slight annual rise of 1.19% in July, as reported by the Statistical Service of Cyprus. While the index showed a negligible monthly increase of just 0.01% from June, its year-over-year growth continues to be positive.
The index, which is based on the year 2021 (with 2021=100), reached a value of 119.04 units in July 2025. Over the first seven months of the year, from January to July, the index showed an overall increase of 1.24% compared to the same period in 2024.
A breakdown of the data by commodity reveals a mixed picture:
Minerals and mineral products saw the most significant price jumps, increasing by 3.33% and 3.27%, respectively.
Products of wood, insulation materials, chemicals, and plastics saw a more modest rise of 0.70%.
Electromechanical products recorded a small increase of 0.19%.
Conversely, metallic products were the only category to see a decline, with prices falling by 1.04%.
